A completely redesigned solution in R32

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions

The product has been completely redesigned and re-engineered to use R32, introducing technological solutions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Advantages and benefits generated for the environment by using R32 are various:

• using R32, GWP (Global Warming Potential) is reduced to 1/3 compared to R410A;
• the refrigerant charge is lower: -79%, or 7.5 kg compared to the 11.9 kg of the Small Y Compact solution in R410A;
• brings greater energy efficiency.

Residential plant solution

Residential Multi Split

The solution is made up of the external unit Small Y Compact PUMY-SM-Y/VKM to which it is possible to connect the internal residential and commercial units currently present in the catalogue.

The configuration possibilities are even greater: only with residential or commercial internal units via the PAC-MMK40/60 Branch Boxes or in a mixed configuration, with Branch Boxes and VRF internal units.

Branch Box PAC-MMK40-60BC

The Branch Boxis a model specifically designed for the use of R32 gas.

Furthermore:

• it has the connection of the "Sensor & Allarm Kit": refrigerant leak sensor for the management of safety issues;
• it is larger than the previous model;
• has exclusive compatibility with PUMY-SM-Y/VKM (R32);
• It is not compatible with Small Y systems (R410A).

Safety measures for R32

It is mandatory to provide safety measures for R32 gas.

For each internal unit and for the supervision room (where required by the EC60335 2-40 Ed.6 standard), the PAC-SK60SA-E sensor and alarm kit is available.

PAC-SK60SA-E Sensor and Alarm Kit

The kit is a refrigerant leak detection device. It operates in two different scenarios: main and supervision, where the supervision alarm is required for the IEC60335 required environment.

For each internal unit and for the supervision room (where required by the EC60335 2-40 Ed.6 standard), the PAC-SK60SA-E sensor and alarm kit is available.

Business plant solution

VRF version for commercial (offices, shops...)

The Small Y Compact PUMY-SM-Y/VKM series outdoor unit can be connected to the internal units of the VRF range shown in the table:

It is also possible to configure the outdoor unit either with only the VRF City Multi indoor units or in a mixed configuration with Branch Box and residential/commercial indoor units.

Safety measures

It is mandatory to provide safety measures for R32 gas according to IEC60335 2-40(6):

• PAR41MAA-B control unit equipped with acoustic and visual alarm;
• City Multi internal units with sensor included.

The MS series VRF City Multi internal units are dedicated to the use of R32 gas and can only be used with PUMY-SM.

PAR41MAAB with acoustic and visual alarm

The PAR41MAAB remote control has incorporated the acoustic and visual alarm, compatible with all RAC/PAC/VRF indoor units both R410A and R32. It replaces the previous PAR41MAA model.
